Univerzitetski odjek is a student portal that was launched by students of the Department of Media Studies. It was created in 2011 as part of a project of the US Embassy in Serbia, which aimed to transfer the vast experience in establishing and managing student media in that country to the students of the three state faculties where journalism is studied in Serbia.
Student media is a great place to start a journalistic career and an opportunity to take the first journalistic steps, master the skills and techniques of working in the online media and leave the university with professional experience gained in an environment of cooperation with peers. Univerzitetski odjek is managed and edited by the students themselves, including new generations of students all the time, and the editorial positions are held by final year students who excelled in cooperation with the portal during their earlier years of study.
