The International Festival of Student Journalism ‘On the record’ has been held since 2012, organized by students and faculty members of the Department of Media Studies. The aim of this unique festival in the region is to promote the standards of practical work within highly specialized journalism courses, exchange experiences, and connect journalism students and student media in the Balkans and Europe.
Over the past decade, the festival has seen the participation of hundreds of students from 16 universities in Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Albania, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Serbia. The festival has received support from numerous media professionals and media theorists who engaged in discussions with students, addressing important questions and issues in the media sphere. They willingly accepted the responsibility of evaluating the festival works of their future colleagues.
