Propositions of the ON THE RECORD festival
The organizational committee consists of teachers and assistants of the Department. The committee elects the selection committee and jury members.
The selection committee consists of three members who participate in the selection of submitted works for the official competitive selection of the Festival. The main criteria for selecting works are quality (professional standards) and described categories – genre and duration (for radio and TV formats).
Competition categories:
- SHORT VIDEO FORM (up to 5`)
- SHORT AUDIO FORM (up to 5`)
- ARTICLE & REPORTAGE (feature) (press/online)
- INVESTIGATIVE STORIES (documentary TV and radio reports up to 20 minutes and texts published in the press and multimedia online stories with all available online tools)
Submitted works that meet the set conditions and professional standards will be included in the competition for the Festival awards.

SPECIAL AUDIENCE AWARD
The awards are decided by an international expert jury. It consists of three prominent journalists from Serbia and the region. The president of the jury is elected independently. The members of the jury are obliged to write the explanations of the awards and attend the award ceremony. The jury reserves the right not to award any of the prizes if it judges that the selected works do not meet the established criteria
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE FESTIVAL
Completed application form and submitted work that corresponds to one of the listed categories. The application is completed online.
Works can only be submitted by students/authors. The applicant is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data in the application.
Each faculty or student media can compete with several student works. Students can participate independently with several works, but not in the same competition category.
The permitted number of authors is two per one journalistic work.
Works registered for the Festival have to be produced in the last two years.
TV forms must be subtitled in English.
Papers are sent electronically. Unpublished texts in Word, and for published texts it is enough to send a link to the text. Radio and TV works are sent in wav, mp3 (audio) and mp4 (video) formats via one of the available web servers (wetransfer, myairbridge, etc.)
By applying to the competition, the author accepts the regulations and propositions, as well as the items from the application with which s/he applies to the Festival. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The organizer has the right to publicly present all submitted works, which is also defined by the application for participation in the festival, which is filled out by each participant. The organizer does not charge participants a registration fee for participating in the Festival.
The organizer reserves the right to use festival works and their parts for the purpose of promoting the Festival. After the end of the Festival, in agreement with the authors, the awarded works can be published in the student media Univerzitetski odjek and the YouTube channel of the festival On the record.
The costs of accommodation for the participants during the Festival are borne by the organizer.
