Dragana Prodanović is teaching assistant at the Department of Media Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. At the same Faculty, she completed bachelor studies in Serbian language and literature, master studies in Communication Studies and is a final year student of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies in the Field of Social and Humanities. Main fields of her interest are journalism in print media and communication studies. Since she gained journalistic experience in the print media while she was engaged in several newsrooms in Novi Sad, she is particularly interested in researching the role of journalists and the social function of quality press in the new media environment. In her research, she also dealt with the ways in which journalists and journalism are presented in popular culture, primarily in films and TV series.
She is dedicated to the networking of students of the Department of Media Studies with their colleagues studying journalism at other faculties in the country and abroad. She is active in several domestic, regional and international projects aimed at networking, cooperation and exchange of experiences among students. She edited the student magazine KOD04 and participated in the launch of the student portal Univerzitetski odjek.
