Zlatomir Gajic

Zlatomir Gajić is an assistant with a PhD at the Department of Media Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. In his scientific work, he studies journalism in printed media and on the Internet, the media’s relationship to popular culture and art, and literary creativity within the rock and roll movement. He received the PhD in Philology at the Department of Serbian Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad with the topic “Branimir Štulić’s rock poetry and its media echoes”. At the same department, he completed his bachelor studies and defended his master thesis on the topic “Poetry of Milan Mladenović as a literary and media fact: text analysis and the problem of reception”.

As a journalist and columnist, he worked in the newspaper Dnevnik from Novi Sad, the monthly magazine Caffe Vojviodina and the magazine of the Serbian National Theater Pozorište, as well as on the websites of the “Exit” and “Cinema City” festivals. He was the PR manager and editor of the website of the Festival of Street Musicians in Novi Sad. He is the author of two books: Rock poet Branimir Džoni Štulić (with contributions to the theory of rock and roll) in 2019 and Rock poet Milan Mladenović in 2022 (both published in Serbian by “Službeni glasnik”, Belgrade).
