Brankica Drašković is an assistant professor at the Department of Media Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. She is engaged in teaching at the study programs in journalism, communications and cultural studies. As a Doctor of Dramatic Sciences in the field of media, in her scientific work she is committed to the interdisciplinary study of contemporary practices in the field of media culture. She is oriented towards researching the role of the media in the memory culture, as well as the analysis of media discourse, narrative and visual elements of different media genres.
She is the coordinator of the Media Center of the Department of Media Studies and the president of the organizing team of the International Festival of Journalism Students “On the Record”. In parallel with his academic career, she has developed professional experience in the field of journalism and documentary. During her thirty-year journalistic career, she was engaged in several media companies in various positions and participated in the implementation of numerous domestic and international media projects. In the last decade, she has been creating and producing documentary TV series and films for which she has received numerous awards.
